The Feldman Mason Group is the new name for the team you may know as the Brad Feldman Group. Along with the name, we have a new parent brokerage, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.
If you have worked with us before, or if you have been getting our market report in your mailbox for years, almost nothing about how to reach us has changed. Same people, same phone numbers, same neighborhoods.
The one exception is email! Our addresses changed with the new name, so if an old one bounces back, you can find current contact information for all three of us on our About page.
Below is what is new, why we made the change, and what it means for you if you are thinking about buying or selling a home in Orange County. If you would rather skip the explanation and just talk it through with one of the top Orange County real estate agents on our team, we are always happy to pick up the phone.

Two things, and they happened at the same time.
The first is the name. The Brad Feldman Group is now the Feldman Mason Group, or FMG for short. You will see the new name on our signs, our reports, our email, and our website.
The second is the brokerage behind us. We have joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. That is the company whose name sits under ours on the sign in the yard.
The team itself is the same three of us:
Beyond the new email addresses, everything else carries over. It’s still Brad and the Mason siblings. The market reports keep coming, and all the Orange County neighborhoods we serve are the same.

The short answer is that the old name had stopped describing the team accurately.
Trent joined Brad in 2016. They have been partners in the business for years now, splitting the work, sharing clients, and building the practice together. At some point it stopped making sense for only one name to be on the door. Adding Trent's to it was overdue, and Tarah rounds out a small team that works every client together rather than handing them off.
We know a name change can be confusing, especially for past clients who send us referrals. So to say it plainly: the Feldman Mason Group and the Brad Feldman Group are the same team. If someone tells you they worked with Brad Feldman years ago and asks who to call now, the answer is still us.
Our work has not changed either. You can see recent and current listings on our portfolio of Orange County luxury real estate, and you will find the same kind of properties and the same kind of results there as before.

This is the part of the change that actually affects clients, so it deserves a little more detail.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is one of the largest residential real estate networks in the country, with agents in markets across the United States and abroad. For a local team, that reach matters most in one specific situation: when the buyer for your home does not live here yet.
That happens more often in Orange County than people expect. A good share of the buyers in neighborhoods like Nellie Gail Ranch, Monarch Beach, and the coastal communities are moving in from out of state or out of the country. Being part of a national network means our listings get in front of agents in those markets earlier and more often. For sellers, that widens the pool of people who see the home. For buyers relocating here, it means a connection to a local team before you ever arrive.
Practically, here is what the affiliation adds:
There is also a phrase Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices uses for its agents that we liked before we ever thought about joining. They call them Forever Agents. The idea is that the relationship does not end when escrow closes. That is close to how we have always worked. A lot of the homeowners reading this bought through us ten or fifteen years ago and still call when a question comes up about the house or the market.
If you want to see the areas we cover, our Orange County neighborhood guides have community information and current listings, including a full page on Dana Point real estate.

A new name and a new brokerage are the kind of thing that sounds bigger from the outside than it feels from the inside. The sign in the yard looks different. Everything behind it is the same as it was.
We still answer our own phones. We still tell clients the truth about what a home will sell for, even when it is not the number they hoped to hear. We still prepare a house carefully before it goes on the market, and we still negotiate hard once the offers come in. Higher Standards. Better Results. That has not changed, and it is not going to.
If you are curious what your home would sell for in today's market, you can request a complimentary home valuation from our team. We will put together a number based on your actual house and your actual street, not an algorithm's guess.
And if you just want to say hello, catch up, or ask a question about a move you are considering somewhere down the road, get in touch with the Feldman Mason Group. It is never too early to start the conversation.
